AT THE DECEMBER 5, 2009 BUSINESS MEETING, THE KNIGHT AND FAMILY OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER 2009 WERE ANNOUNCED:

Knight of the Month for November 2009- John Fernandes

Brother and 3rd Degree Knight John Fernandes receiving the November 2009 Knight of the Month from Grand Knight Frenchie Verrier.

From December 2009 Dove:

Dear Brothers,

Would you believe that we are already in December!  I would like to wish all of you a Very Blessed and Merry Christmas and a Most Prosperous New Year.

I’ve nominated Brother Jim Esposito, Sr. and his lovely wife, Joan as my Family of the Month for November they really did a great job on our Blood Drive on the 5th of November.  I’ve also nominated Brother John Fernandes as my Knight of the Month for November. Brother John has really help out in more ways than one and has really provided out council with additional financial resources in running our Monthly Flea Market.

I’m very please to report that our Christmas Cards Sales as well as the Keep Christ in Christmas sales at both Holy Trinity and St. John’s has gone very well.  Thanks to all of you who took the time to come out to help.

Our Flea Markets keeps going strong.  On Saturday, 14th November 2009 we had over 600 shoppers, which I believe is the best we had done so far.  Thanks to all of you who have donated your time and talent to help us out.  Our next Flea Market is tentatively schedule for Sunday, 13th December 2009.  Yes, Sunday, because we have a tentative rental on Saturday, 12th which is our normal 2nd Saturday of the month Flea Market date.  Please come and join us and help, we could most surely use your help and assistance.  Doors open from 7:00 to 12:00 noon.

I would also like to report that our Bingo seems to be rebounding once again.  We are averaging around 80 clients during the past few weeks.  Please come and play or come help out.  We really need help from about 09:00 p.m to closing which is about 10:30.  After closing we clean up and put all the tables and chair away.

Our next Business Meeting will be on Thursday, 3rd of December 209.  Please try and join us.

Remember on Saturday, 5th December 2009 is our 20/200 Dinner Dance.  Hope to see you all there.  We still have a few tickets available.  Please call Brother Carl Kaiser, Frank Kane or Tom McGovern if you need additional tickets.  Please remember that this is our Major Fund Raiser and we need you support.

Sunday, 6th December 2009 after the 09:00 a.m. Mass at St. John’s we will be conducting our Membership Drive in the School Auditorium.  I will be out of state, however, please come and help out to recruit some new member and enjoy some free coffee and donuts.

On Friday, 18th of December 2009, which is the 3rd Friday of the month we will hold our Christmas Party, this is instead of our normal 3rd Friday of the month social event.  Christmas Party is for members and family member only.

Monday, 21st of December is our Social Meeting.  It begins at 8:00 p.m. Please come and join us.  We usually have refreshments after our social meeting.  You are welcome to bring a prospective Knight to this meeting.  We may have a 1st Degree depending on number of candidates.  Brother Carl Kaiser will advise us if we have any candidates.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the Brother Knights who helped out at the St. John's Gala on Saturday, 14th Nov 09.  I think by helping out with St. John's and Holy Trinity events we will bring in more Brother Knights. Keep up the great support.

I would like to ask all of the officers and members to step up and serve when asked to do so.  We can only be successful with the support of our entire fellow brother Knights.

If any of you “Brother Knights” have any suggestion on how we can increase our attendance at meeting and functions, please contact me either via e-mail ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or call me on my cell phone  (410) 428-2294  (410) 428-2294 or my home phone  (410) 647-6528  (410) 647-6528 or my home address which is 594 Duffield Drive, Severna Park, MD.  21146-2700.

Our council runs on volunteers and we cannot have a successful Fraternal Year without your help and support.  All events are costly and cannot be accomplished without total help and support of you all.

Vivat’ Jesus’!

Fraternally,

F. R. “Frenchie” Verrier

Grand Knight

NOVEMBER 15, 2009.  FLEA MARKET REPORT.

The November Flea Market was one of the best at far at number of people that attended.   The head count is not very accurate with people using the side doors, whenever they were open to reduce their journey to their cars, but we estimate over 600 people shopped the tables before the final bell rung.

Food Sales were great with the $1.00 Hot dog starting with sales shortly after 7 AM until the
doors closed. Jolly John Bogdon was the chief food provider with Tom McGovern. Gary Floyd, Carl Kaiser, Bob Bradley, Pat O’Brien, Mark Coughlin and his dog. Jim Walton assisted along with an Scout working his service program. Ralph Lee, our Trinity H/C Treasurer, took time from the Holding Co books to help. John Fernandes keep the vendors happy . Jeff Maynard gave a hand when his wife Pauline LET him stray from the St. John’s Table.

Gross Sales were $212.45 Great Job and looking towards the December Flea Market. Check the Calendar of Events on this website for details!
